About Knowsley Information Sharing and Assessment Programme

Information sharing and assessment has been developed in response to the need for joined up services and a more integrated approach within Knowsley’s existing resources.

Information Sharing and Assessment is about making sure that all agencies working with children, young people and their families work together to deliver well coordinated and effective services to them. At the moment lots of different people from different services (e.g. education, health, social services, Connexions, etc) work with children, young people and their families and sometimes they don’t even know that someone-else is involved. This can create problems and it can mean that children, young people and their families miss out.

Information Sharing and Assessment gets around these problems because the services involved will work differently. Instead of working alone they will now work together and share information to make sure that children and young people are healthy, safe and have the opportunity to succeed in life.
